New url, recent pics

I changed my url to something I thought went better than ‘antique-renae’ since my blog is no longer specifically antique/vintage etc. And a few quick pics I guess, I haven't gotten the chance to wear anything to extravagant though since I've started school etc.

Drawing Tablet and SAI paint tool program pieces

I recently got my first drawing tablet in the mail, It's not the best quality but it seems to get the job done. I did some experimenting and these are my first two

The first is an ott sweet lolita or you could say a casual decora since the bottom half isn't showing. The print on the cutsew is angelic pretty's sugary carnival and doesn not belong to me.


The second is a hime chibi I made, I know it looks wonky, stupid, and messy, but I was in the mood for art and wanted to draw something cute.


Sorry that both these pictures are pretty messy but I started school recently and don't have the time to put alot of effort into them. I started zero period and jumped from draw paint to draw paint3 so my head is spinning a bit right now -.- my goal is to get all a's this year o(>.<)o

Kawaii phase?

I think I have a soft spot for cute kawaii things…I’ve noticed recently that I dress kawaii/gyaru casually and like sweet/hime lolita. My love for dark gohic things hasn’t phased but I find it hard to limit myself to being a gothic lolita. I’ve been scared that maybe I’ll lose respect from others but after recieving advice from a good friend I decided to jump in or else I might have regrets later. I think this is probably a fad or phase, but I want to express it for now. I don’t plan on going OTT thats just a bit too much for me,..but I plan on showing my love of “kawaii” things for now. I really like almost all the lolita styles so maybe I’m a “lolita surfer?” I know I’ll probably never lose sight of my love for dark gothic stuff though since I have a dark soul and probably always will. So lets see where this takes me, for now you can see it by the change of my theme.

and heres a pic of my nails I painted the other day. I was going for the time of day, when the sky is a lavender blue color and the clouds are a light pretty pink color. But I think they ended up looking like cotton candy with glitter over them, oh well I guess thats fine too.^-^

GEO's mimi cafe cappuccino brown circle lens review plus new sketch

So recently I ordered a pair of GEO's mimi cafe cappuccino brown circle lenses from Honeycolor.com on the 22nd of july. I'm quite happy with them,

So heres some info on them:
Usage Modality:  Yearly
BC:  8.7 mm
DIA:  15.0 mm
Water content:  38%
Package:  1 contact lens case included

Appearance: 5/5
As you can see the 15mm lens have a very nice enlarging effect, and the honey brown color blends right into my dark eyes which was a good thing for me since I didn't want a dramatic color as my first pair of circle lenses.



Comfort: 5/5
I found these lenses very comfortable, after about 30 minutes I forget I'm even wearing them. However I honestly think that the comfort level depends on the wearer and how sensitive their eyes are. I've owned regular contacts before that were very comfortable but my sister on the other hand my sister could hardly keep them in for 20 minutes. So if you're getting you're first pair of circle lenses I recommend starting somewhere at 14.5 and working your way up. And remember the comfortability also depends on how well you take care of them.

packaging: 5/5
The order was shipped in a envelope lined with bubble wrap, which to me seemed reasonable for a small order. These were the contents of the package.
 



Shipping: 4/5
I used standard shipping which I don't recommend to people who need their lenses in a short amount of time. They do state the same when you choose the shipping but I was so anxious to get them and they came within 2-3 weeks, which isn't a very fun wait. I do hear many reviews from honeycolor stating that express shipping can take anywhere from 2-4 days? I think standard shipping is 6$ and express shipping is 14$?

communication: 0/0
Since I didn't ever once contact them or attempt to ask questions regarding my order I have no thoughts on communication, I'm not one to worry to badly about them updating me daily on where my package is since I figure it's get here when it gets here, and surely enough it got here.

In all I'm obviously very satisfied with my order from honeycolor and will most likely order from then next time I want circle lenses. oh and the circle lenses there are all pretty good prices the most expensive ones being around 24$ I highly recommend this site to anybody ordering circle lenses.
 


And here is my new sketch I drew up yesterday. This particular one is I think the first drawing of a boy I've posted? And I know it looks a bit like a girl but it is a young boy inspired by cherubs, porcelain dolls, and disturbing beauty.

The background might be hard to distinguish, but it is a four post bed with see-through curtains going around the sides and a bit of pillows to the left. I will probably be adding more detail to the background but am too lazy at the moment. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while I've been busy, so I'll start off by posting two recent outfits of mine, neither is really lolita though just inspired outfits.

So lately I've started being active on my tumblr account. I didn't post at all before and only used it for contests and such but somebody suggested to me that I should start since I mostly post pictures anyway.

In other news somebody's liked my artwork enough to recommend me to a friend of her's to be a graphic designer of a new clothing brand he's launching. I actually can't mention any details since they want to work in private until the brand is officially launched but I just thought I'd share. It really isn't the type of clothing that interests me but money is money, and it might give way to new opportunities for me, and just saying that this is another reason why I've been so lazy on here so I'll try to keep updated as much as possible.

Here's another completely off brand outfit I wore yesterday, I guess it'd be simple classic or gothic, please don't mind the lack of poof I didn't really care for a petticoat yesterday since it's getting warmer here in southern California.

outfit#3 Victorian Boy

Victorian boy inspired outfit with a modern twist, I re-modeled my last outfit a bit, and re-did my hair and makeup to look like a boy.
