Quoting a post from my sister's blog

Well this is a subject I also completely agree with and I would like all those who this applies to to consider the following. (also please make sure to check out my older sis's blog and try to follow her as well [if you go to view my complete profile shes under my followed bllogs as "thoughts for the day"])

"About 3-4 years ago, I started devotedly listening to Japenese music. I love it with all my being (visual kei especially) like Versailles, Lm.c, Malice Mizer, etc. A little bit after that say 1-2 years ago, I also started listening to K-pop (korean pop music). I really liked it. I thought it was better than the American pop that was limited to me in CA.

I've never been a fan of most big girl groups like SNSD and Kara. I just don't see anything special in their performing skills or vocal skills, contrary to what I hear about them. I still like most groups however like Secret, F(X), and Miss-A. But that's besides the point obviously. I really like groups like SHINee, Mblaq, Norazo, Davichi etc.

I started noticing however, when I was on youtube listening to music, what was being said about korean music. Example:
"KPOP is going to take over the world!"
"Japanese music sucks!"
"Korea's better than Japan!"

I am to say the least, furious of said comments. It's not just fans, I've seen ON TV, announcers saying these kinds of comments as well. Of course I don't blame Korean artists, it's not their fault their fans are complete wacko's. And I understand the need to show your support for your idols, but this kind of talk and behavior is unacceptable.

Also on that note saying ," Yes, I am the very loveable and modest ----, please support me" isn't very modest.

I stopped listening to Kpop for about 4months, just to take a break. I thought it was just me listening to it so much that I was getting annoyed. I fell in love with japanese music all over again during that time. After those 4months  I felt refreshed and ready to listen to K-pop again. I turned on my tv aaan-
"Yes, K-pop m music is taking over in Japan!"
KABOOM! Mind explosion! xO

I wanted to cry. I'm all for international whatever it's called, but even the Japanese were forgetting about the amazing talent they already had in Japan. All I ask is that if you listen to both Japanese music and Korean, please support each equally. And if you only like one or the other, please be respectful regardless of how you feel about it. Do that and I will be eternally grateful/happy :)

It also makes your country and their people not seem like douches so that's a bonus ;)"

(Let me know your opinions on this subject)
